Additional Factory-Reconditioned Milwaukee 6190-80 15 Amp 14-Inch Metal Cutoff Machine Information
|
This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new conditions. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. The 6190-80 utilizes dry (a.k.a. cold) cut technology which will cut on average three times faster than an abrasive machine and costs 1-1/2 times less to operate. The saw produces little to no sparks when cutting and leaves a virtually burr-free finish. Cuts angle, unistrut, steel studs, channel, conduit, tubing and pipe. The base is a heavy-duty cast aluminum reinforced with a 1/4 in. steel plate. Tool-free 3/8in. vise and back fence. The horizontal D-handle provides optimum comfort whether the tool is on the ground or sitting on a bench.

What Customers Say About Factory-Reconditioned Milwaukee 6190-80 15 Amp 14-Inch Metal Cutoff Machine:

It could use a clamp that presses down as well as the one that is included. The chip tray slides out the back. If it slid out the front dumping it would be much easier. This thing is awesome. All in all a very fine tool. Very few sparks but lotsa noise. It cuts steel like butter. Nice clean cuts.
I purchase tools all the time, like everyone else, my decision is based on quality vs dollars - getting the best deal. The stock blade is fine for aluminum. Awesome saw for a fraction of the price. Very smooth and quiet.
Some far, no problems. You can also cut aluminum with a standard chop saw - but this is designed from metal. As with most other metal working tools, either slow the blade down (can't do it with this saw) or add mist or fluid cooling. I also switch to a Milwaukee circular saw (used to own only Porter Cable and Makita). As for being rebuilt, my saw came out of the box looking "almost new" and it come with a warranty. When this reconditioned cold saw came up, I couldn't pass it over.
Other reviews said the blade dulled out when cutting steel. Another great product. For this saw, heavy duty, means, heavy duty. Lots of torque to glide thru metal.
